Expects net sales of JPY4.8 trillion in FY10
Fujitsu, a provider of ICT-based business offerings, has reported net sales of JPY4.68 trillion for fiscal year 2009, compared to JPY4.69 trillion for the same period last year.
Operating income for the year was JPY94.3bn, compared to operating income of JPY68.8bn in the same period last year.
The company posted a consolidated net income of JPY93bn for the fiscal year 2009, rebounding from a net loss of JPY112.4bn in the previous year.
Technology Solutions segment net sales totaled JPY3,121bn, up 1.4% compared to fiscal 2008. Net sales in the services sub-segment were up 3.4% to JPY2,510bn, sales of outsourcing services increased in Japan.
Net sales in the ubiquitous product solutions segment were JPY918.7bn, a decrease of 3.2% compared to the fiscal 2008 while the Device Solutions segment net sales decreased 6.9% (JPY547.2bn) compared to previous year.
Masami Yamamoto, president of Fujitsu, said: “We made excellent progress towards our goal of transforming Fujitsu into a truly global enterprise geared for profitability. Even as we improve efficiency, we are making strategic investments around the world in cloud computing platforms and other key areas to support the success of our customers and drive our future growth.”
For FY10, the company expects net sales of JPY4.8 trillion, operating income of JPY185bn, and net income of JPY95bn.
