The Fujitsu Users Groups in Australia and Japan have teamed to exchange technical advice about large mainframes and to buy and sell software: Fujitsu is supporting the move as a way to expand its market in Australia and elsewhere; the Large Systems Association in Japan has 228 members including companies such as Asahi Chemical, Kawasaki Steel, Nippon Oil, and Suntory, and is promoting a shared software library; the Fujitsu Users Association of Australia has 100 members, among them several Commonwealth and State government departments, as well as Australian National Railways.
