In a new high-profile onslaught against alleged pirates, the Business Software Alliance opened a case for copyright infringement yesterday against AMS Industries Plc, a UK subsidiary of Siemens AG: AMS has denied infringement; in France, the targets are Docks de France SA, geographical institute Maison de la Geographie and publisher Dargaud Editeur; a suit has recently been brought against Spanish state railway company Renfe, after an employee alleged that 75% of some categories of the railway’s software was copied without authorisation.
