There doesn’t seem much point in making a string of appointments that if the new brooms that are due in three months are to install a whole new team at the top – which they must, but IBM Corp has elected Michael Attardo, Nicholas Donofrio and John Thompson senior vice-presidents: Attardo is general manager of IBM’s Technology Products business, Donofrio is general manager of the Enterprise Systems unit and Thompson is general manager of the Application Business Systems unit.
