New toolbar offers suggestions, reviews, maps all related to the searches
Search engine company Google has introduced new search features including a new toolbar, a catalogue app for tablet devices, and expanded site links.
The new toolbar dubbed as ‘Related’ is a Chrome extension that shows search relevant content such as maps, user reviews, and recommended searches. The toolbar is also available for Internet Explorer users, said Google.
The company revealed the new feature on its official blogpost.
It said that "Google Related works in the background to find you the most interesting and relevant content on the topics you’re currently viewing.
"For example, if you visit a restaurant’s website, Related can show you a map, reviews from Google Places, mentions from across the web and other similar eateries that you might want to try."
Google says that the toolbar has ‘hide’ and ‘disable’ features as well.
The company has also launched improvements to its sitelinks.
When Google launched the feature first, sitelinks comprised a single row of just four links.
Now, the company has added full-size links with a URL and one line of snippet text.
Google has also increased the maximum number of sitelinks per query from eight to 12.
