Apollo Computer Inc has won a quick response to the latest addition to its Network Computing System environment for enabling dissimilar systems to work together in harmony. Earlier this month, Apollo announced the Open Dialogue user interface manager, building it on the X-Window protocol and describing it as a tool for developers to create a common interface across a network of differing systems (CI No 749). Now Graphic Software Systems Inc, Beaverton, Oregon, says it will bring Open Dialogue into the world of 80386 machines, porting it to its GSS X/386 version of X Window.
