Harris Semiconductor has joined Zoran Corp, Santa Clara, California in a five-year product and technology exchange pact to combine their skills in digital signal processors and real-time control products. Under the agreement, Zoran becomes a second source for Harris Corp’s new RTX 2000 Real-Time Express 16-bit Forth language microcontroller for embedded real-time applications (CI No 933), and Harris will second source Zoran’s digital and vector signal processors. The partners see the two lines being combined in several automation applications.
