Hewlett-Packard Co has begun European manufacture of its 3.5 head-disk assemblies at its Bristol, Avon site, marking the first time it has made 3.5 mechanisms outside the US. The new line at the Computer Peripherals Bristol unit in the west country seaport will make the HP C2277 1.05Gb 3.5 SCSI-2 drive.
