Hong Kong industrialist Li Ka-Shing has built up a 4.9% shareholding in Cable & Wireless Plc, and is expected to seek collaboration with the company that would involve its 80%-owned Hong Kong Telephone. With a Golden Share held by the government that allows it to veto any foreign shareholding over 15%, Cable & Wireless is relaxed about the stake.
