Hewlett-Packard Co is forming a new Government Business unit out of its three US public sector units. The new unit will draw on Hewlett-Packard’s existing sales, marketing and professional services resources to deliver products and services to customers in state, local and federal governments. It integrates the former Federal Government Business unit, which was responsible for sales, professional services and marketing to federal government customers; the State & Local Government Business unit; and the Federal Computer Operation, which provided integrated computing systems for US government agencies.
