Hewlett-Packard Co has signed a memorandum of understanding to sell its Fort Collins, Colorado printed circuit assembly operation to Canadian electronics manufacturer Celestica International Holdings Inc. The deal is in keeping with HP’s plans to outsource more of the manufacturing and assembly of certain products related to its workstation business, headquartered in Fort Collins. The 600 employees of the circuit assembly plant will be offered jobs with Celestica or may take other jobs within HP.
