IBM Corp has announced a new bundled offering aimed at first-time local area network users: it comprises OS/2 2.1, IBM LAN Server Entry V3.01, and support for up to six OS/2, Windows or MS-DOS users on a non-dedicated server and five client personal computers. IBM has also added an installation utility for simple graphical user interface for administrators and users. The bundle, called LAN FirstStep, will initially be launched in Europe, and may be launched in the US, although this has yet to be definitely decided. In the UK, it is due to ship in July for #531.
