IBM Corp is expected to be among the companies supporting Intel Corp’s power sensitive Tillamook processor launch today (Monday), and is expected to show up with an updated version of its Thinkpad 770 mobile, complete with DVD drive. Others planning to announce new systems using the chip include Power Computing Corp (CI No 3,239), Compaq, Dell, Toshiba and Digital Equipment Corp. Prices are expected to range from around $2,500 up to $7,000 and weighs from four to eight pounds.
