Seems that despite what must have been Individual Computer Products International Ltd’s scepticism, those claims that IBM Corp’s Greenock factory in Scotland was a cheaper manufacturer than anyone in the Far East, as well as being tops for quality, were justified after all: whispers circulating in the glens say that while the first Ambra machines came from the Far East, Greenock has since won an open tender to make the things, and that the new 80486 models and all future models will be Scots-made.
