IBM has announced new software that will bring single sign-on capability to a broader range of applications. The Tivoli Access Manager for Enterprise Single Sign-on is intended to reduce the hassle of multiple user and password entries.
The software utilizes tools from Passlogix, a New York-based sign-on company. It expands IBM’s password management to include access to applications such as Lotus Notes, SAP, and those that are Windows-based.
IBM said the software would also help ensure the security of confidential information by allowing only authorized users to access certain data.
