IBM has made the unusual step of buying a licence to graphics package being developed by a Boston start-up that has not yet been announced, reports Newsbytes. The program, being developed by Publishing Solutions Inc and presently called Hollywood, is an object-oriented graphics processor designed to accelerate desktop publishing software under either Microsoft Windows or Presentation Manager, and IBM hopes it will enable it to improve its publishing market share.
