IBM Corp yesterday agreed with ObjecTime Ltd and Rational Software Corp to create a revised industry-standard Unified Modeling Language visual modeling language to simplify application design. It will define common semantics, notations and interfaces for developers to use in creating and manipulating graphical applications, and will merge the earlier proposal from IBM and ObjecTime with the proposed standard developed by Rational and its partners.
