ICL has announced new cabling additions to its Oslan Open Systems Local Area Network range: Oslan 100 using thin co-axial cable has been introduced to combat the problems of limited space for cabling and ducting. A fibre optic version, Oslan 300, has also been launched onto the market by the Putney, London mainframer, and will be aimed at customers requiring high security, or as a means for interconnecting local area networks that are installed at different sites a mile or two apart.
