ICL Plc’s has a new non-executive chairman Michio Naruto. He is Fujitsu’s executive vice president responsible for overseas business including ICL and has been involved with ICL since 1981 with the original mainframe collaboration between the two companies. He has been on the ICL Plc board since 1991, and takes over as chairman from Sir Peter Bonfield, who becomes non- executive deputy chairman. The appointment is expected to prepare the company for flotation in 2,000 and ICL insists, will not affect the day to day management.
