ImageWare Systems, a developer of identity management systems, has been named as the Advanced Partner in IBM’s PartnerWorld Industry Networks venture.
ImageWare provides optimized biometrically-enabled identity management solutions to public and private sector markets worldwide. By gaining the Advanced Partner status, ImageWare will team with IBM to provide expertise in identity management for existing and new customers in numerous markets including defense, public safety, transportation, healthcare, and education.
ImageWare has a proven track record in partnering with IBM, most recently on a large-scale identity management project for the Arizona Department of Public Safety. lmageWare developed a scalable digital booking, investigative and identification solution running on IBM servers.
The State of Arizona leverages ImageWare’s technologies to not only capture digital mug shots and booking data throughout the state’s sheriff’s offices but also share that critical information in real-time with other law enforcement and criminal justice agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), and US Customs. As a result, Arizona has experienced a significant reduction in investigation time and an improved ability to track known offenders who wander the state.
