Transition capable of e-prescribing, document management, lab results, automated PQRI capabilities and more
iMedica, a developer of healthcare software solutions for physician practices, has launched Transition, a new electronic health record and practice management system designed to eliminate long-standing implementation and cost barriers raised by physicians, as well as speed the adoption of EHRs within small- to medium-sized physician practices.
Using design input from physicians around the country, iMedica developed Transition to provide physicians with an alternative to a full-fledged electronic health record (EHR)/practice management system by streamlining this offering into a standard set of features capable of e-prescribing, document management, lab results, automated PQRI capabilities and more without forcing the providers to perform full note documentation which has been a traditional barrier to electronic medical record acceptance.
Michael Nissenbaum, chief executive officer of iMedica. With Transition, iMedica aims to help physicians who still hesitate to invest in an EHR system. As the federal government begins to offer more incentives through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, iMedica believes that by removing financial and operational roadblocks, Transition will provide physicians with an easier path to EHR adoption and use.
