Information Builders Inc is to license Microsoft Corp’s Visual Basic for use with its Cactus Web and client-server application development tool launched last July (CI No 2,947). Cactus implements an ActivX control to enable Visual Basic and other applications to include Cactus application servers, extending three-tier capabilities to two-tier products.
