An end-to-end IT service desk for infrastructure and application support services
Genpact, a provider of business process and technology management, has been awarded a three-year agreement by a distributor of information technology products and supply chain products worldwide.
Under the agreement, Genpact will provide an end-to-end IT service desk for infrastructure and application support services.
Genpact has also created a consolidated global IT service desk to support Ingram Micro across 35 countries around the world.
Genpact said that the new IT service desk, which first went live in July 2010, is creating operational efficiencies within Ingram Micro’s Global Information Services (IS) by consolidating local knowledge centres into a centralised support function.
Genpact’s Lean Six Sigma framework will provide Ingram Micro with improved data integrity, a standardised, secure desktop computing environment, and reduced total cost of ownership.
The company said that the service desk operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year supporting eight languages from its centres in India, Romania and China.
