Stafford-based process control company Instem Plc reports a recovery from last year’s results with pre-tax profit up 101% this year to UKP681,000 (p5): the company has focussed on providing systems integration and custom-built electronics services to its five main markets – power generation, water management, industrial processing, mining and scientific research; Instem expects its recovery to continue in 1989 with a strong order book from last year’s UKP8.5m of business, as well as a high level of new enquiries.
