Intel announced a range of new hardware and software developing tools for developers to incorporate in their upcoming device including wearable technology and Internet of Things (IoT) based products.
The company has announced Intel Reference Design for Android programme which would offer users high-quality, consistent user experience based on the latest Android tablet.
It is also planning to help manufacturers with streamlined access to Google Mobile Services and support them for future Android releases with the new programme.
It introduced an Analytics for Wearables (A-Wear) programme which integrates software components, such as tools and algorithms from Intel, and data management capabilities from Cloudera to accelerate the development of new wearable applications that will have data-driven intelligence.
Developers of Intel wearables will get access to A-Wear for free.
Intel previewed the next generation ultra thin Dell tablet featuring Intel RealSense which is designed to enhance the quality of photograph taken by the tablet.
The chip maker announced the availability of Intel XMM 7260 modems which will be shipped with Samsung Galaxy Alpha smartphone.
The modem is based on Intel’s second-generation LTE platform and it can support up to 300 Mbps data transfer and make the device more power efficient.
The company also announced the availability of Edison computing platform which features built-in wireless, dual-core SoC along with other components can be used to design durable products across various industries.
Other products previewed in the conference includes: a prototype Connected Wheelchair based on using Intel Quark processors and Intel Wireless Gigabit Docking that provides wireless docking, display and charging.
