Intel Corp is looking for third quarter profits about flat with the 73 cents a share it recorded in the second quarter – compared with a year-ago figure of 29 cents – on turnover up between 5% and 10% on that for the second quarter, a slowdown from the 10% plus quarter-to-quarter sales gains it has shown for the last six quarters: the company is happy with forecasts of $2.80 a share for the full year, which would compare with 98 cents.
