Intel Corp says it’s heard those concerns from Hewlett-Packard Co and others about the NDA restrictions it’s placed around Merced which prevent system vendors from briefing customers about future systems products (CI No 3,135). And in a move it describes is highly unusual for a product that is still years away from the market, promises to make many more details about its first IA-64 instruction set implementation available before the end of they year.
