The mess Intel Corp has got itself into over that buggy 820 Camino chipset to support Rambus will see it unveil a reworked 820E chipset on October 27 along with a slew of new CPUs. Making an entrance will be the 0.18 Coppermine in 733MHz desktop and other slower clock speed versions. It’s also expected to unveil the 600MHz Geyserville CPU for laptops designed to reduce power consumption in ‘sleep’ mode. It is said to be renamed Speedstep and is due to ship in products in the first quarter of next year.
