To allow customers unlock features like multi-modal communication, user presence and video conferencing
IntelePeer said that it is working with Microsoft to enable and accelerate deployment of hosted unified communications offerings delivered from the cloud by Microsoft’s channel partners.
The company said that its voice peering network has been qualified to provide SIP trunking for Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Release 2 (R2), offering connection to the company’s global carrier-grade IP network to make voice calls.
The company claims that its cloud-based infrastructure is directly interoperable with any office communications server 2007 R2 deployment, eliminating the need for additional vendor equipment to support SIP trunking.
The company said that the qualification allows them to provide a turnkey offering, enabling Microsoft channel partners to offer a complete set of advanced voice services and to generate new revenue by hosting office communications server 2007 R2 on behalf of business users.
Moz Hussain, director of unified communications group at Microsoft, said: IntelePeer provides our channel partners with a powerful communications solution. The combination of IntelePeer with Office Communications Server 2007 R2 creates an innovative suite of communications services that can be quickly brought to market by our partners.
Frank Fawzi, chairman and CEO of IntelePeer, said: Our advanced capabilities help customers unlock powerful unified communications features including multi-modal communication, user presence and video conferencing, and obtain greater business value from their Office Communications Server 2007 R2 investment.
