South Wales Electricity Plc reports that it has now signed shareholder and management agreements with International CableTel Inc of New York for its new cable television and telecommunications company in South Wales; the Cardiff and Newport franchises owned by CableTel have been introduced into the joint venture, and South Wales Electricity has assigned its option to buy the West Glamorgan franchise; CableTel holds 60% of the equity in the joint venture, with the power distributor, which plans to invest UKP30m over time, holding the rest.
