Intersoft Lab, a Russian developer of embeddable online analytic processing software components, has kicked off the beta test phase of its new interactive reporting and analysis product.
Its Contour OLAPBrowser software, which is currently under development, is a Web-based product that builds reports directly from microcubes – compressed report containers that store a multidimensional database. The software provides cube viewing, rudimentary online analytic processing (OLAP) (slice-and-dice, pivot, drill-down) and report publishing and sharing capabilities as well.
Contour OLAPBrowser is available for trial online from the firm’s tools web site and from partners worldwide.
Little is known about Intersoft Lab, a privately-held company founded in 1999 by Russian IT professionals to exclusively develop embeddable OLAP components and tools for data warehousing applications. Despite its size and low visibility, Intersoft Lab’s software has made good headway in the banking and financial sectors.
Intersoft Lab handles all its R&D out of Moscow. It has quickly built up an extensive portfolio of Contour-branded software products designed for Windows and web applications running against relational databases.
