Irish object software company Iona Technologies Ltd, Dublin, plans to float on the Nasdaq National Market and hopes get 7.7 million shares away at between $14.50 and $16.50 each in an initial public offering. Iona hopes to follow in the footsteps of Business Objects SA (of France), Baan NV (of Holland) and Planning Sciences Ltd (of the UK), all European software companies whose shares have risen high since they listed on Nasdaq.
