Japan’s three international carriers, Kokusai Denshin Denwa Co, International Telecom Japan Inc and International Digital Communications Inc, will all buy stakes in the TAT12/13 undersea fibre optic cable that will loop between the US, the UK and France: the three signed a construction and maintenance agreement in Paris on December 16, although there is no word on the share which they are to take; MCI Communications Corp will also be taking up shares in the project.
