Adds new features for web development, code analysis and project maintenance
JetBrains, creators of productivity-enhancing tools for software developers, has launched ReSharper 5.0, a productivity tool for .Net Framework development in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and earlier versions.
The company said that the new offering adds full-scale support for the IDE and the new .Net Framework trends and technologies, including ASP.NET MVC 2.0, C# 4.0, and VB.NET 10. Its productivity improvements include a toolset for web development, new features to support working with large projects, and numerous code analysis enhancements.
According to JetBrains, ReSharper 5.0 provides key features and improvements including, an extended toolset to ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC developers, including code inspections, navigation and code generation tools, and highlighting; and the ability to change and maintain project structure with ease.
In addition, it also provides support for Visual Studio 2010 and includes many new code inspections and tools that help track sources of erratic application behaviour and adopt best coding practices, the company said.
