Looking to provide its customers with secure online banking, Germany’s Wuerttembergische Bank has implemented Vasco’s Digipass 250.
Vasco, a digital authentication company, describes Digipass 250 as a lightweight authentication product which offers remote access, one-time password and e-signature capability at a low cost.
By using e-signatures, the information transmitted to the bank’s server cannot be altered by a hacker, which means that transactions cannot be diverted to a different account than the one designated by the e-banking customer.
Vasco’s president, Jan Valcke, said, We welcome LBBW as a customer. In today’s online banking environment, strong authentication is needed to protect the end user’s assets. We are convinced that the addition of Digipass will make LBBW’s application even more successful.
