Macromedia Inc, San Francisco-based provider of multimedia and graphics software tools, announced that John Parsons, Jr has stepped down as chief financial officer, effective immediately, to pursue other interests. In August, the company was slapped with a class action suit from shareholders who alleged misrepresentation of financial statements, fraud and insider trading, following a colossal crash in the company’s stock value (CI No 3,231). Betsey Nelson, vice president of corporate development, will take over as acting CFO.
