IT services and software vendor Maxima Holdings Plc has completed its fourth acquisition of the year, snapping up Intertech Solutions Ireland Ltd for 6m euros ($8m).
Intertech provides software and services covering areas such as email archiving, desktop and helpdesk management, systems integration, and data replication. The company has 33 employees and reported pre-tax profit of 29,000 euros ($37,000) on sales of 4.5m euros ($5.8m) in 2005.
The acquisition is Maxima’s fourth so far this year and its seventh since it went public in November 2004. Last month, the company paid 5.2m pounds ($9.9m) for ERP software and services supplier Cognition Solutions.
In the 12 months to the end of May 2006, Maxima reported sales of 19.1m pounds ($36.4m), of which 33.7% was generated by acquired operations.
