Irvine, California-based AST Research Inc, has announced its intention to establish a sales and support office in Russia to serve the Commonwealth of Independent States market and to support current and future distributors. The office will come under the direct auspices of Robert McFarland, AST’s director of international business. AST has been working solely through its distributors in the rest of eastern Europe since the Irvine, California company abandoned plans to establish a representative office in the Czech Republic in November 1992.
