MCI Inc said yesterday it has finished integrating its recently acquired NetSec managed security and consulting services into its own suite of services, extending its security offerings from its own network to the customer premises.
The company said its MSS offerings include denial of service mitigation, managed email security, firewalls management, network and host-based intrusion detection and prevention, vulnerability scanning and incident response.
It’s all delivered through the NetSec web-based management platform, Finium, which aggregates input from devices, correlates it with worldwide intelligence and fuses it into higher-level, risk-relevant security knowledge.
MCI acquired NetSec for $105m in a deal announced in January. The company also white-labels some of VeriSign’s MSS offerings. MCI said it plans to provide more hosted security offerings in the coming months.
