Microsoft Corp has released versions of its Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise Edition and Visual C++ 6.0 Professional Edition programming tools for Compaq Computer Corp’s 64-bit Alpha RISC chip running Windows NT. Developers should be able to write applications that can be natively compiled on both Intel and Alpha architectures, said the company.
