So keen is Microsoft Corp to get Unix ISVs writing Windows NT versions of their software that it will give away a copy of NT workstation developer edition or BackOffice Server developer edition (which includes NT Server) with every professional and enterprise edition of Visual Studio it sells until June 30. Visual Basic, Visual C++ or Visual Studio professional edition customers will get NT Workstation 4.0; developers who buy enterprise editions of the product get BackOffice Server 4.0. Prices start at $250. The NT and BackOffice packages contain the full feature set of the native product but only a limited license enabling developers to test their programs.
