The race is on in Sri Lanka to open the first cyber cafe, offering customers the chance to surf the Internet as they sip their cappucinos. Days after three entrepreneurs announced launch of the Cyber Cafe in Colombo later this month, a new joint venture says it will have its Internet cafe, the Surfboard, open this week. Surfboard is a joint venture of Galadari Hotel, Itech Innovations and Lanka Internet Services Ltd. The cafe will also serve as an electronic post office, library, training centre, art gallery, conference centre, virtual office and an electronic shopping mall.
