Mitel Corp, 51%-owned by British Telecomunications Plc, has exchanged rights to manufacture four of its communications chips for a manufacturing process, two cell libraries and a combined analogue and digital design methodology from International Microelectronic Products Inc: the Mitel chips will be available from its partner in the second quarter, and the two companies will also jointly develop macro cells to augment their design libraries for speech and data chips, and work to enhance performance of International Microelectronic’s manufacturing process technology.
