Mitsui & Co Ltd has won a $77m contract to install an optical fibre submarine cable system linking Malaysia and Thailand, Telekom Malaysia Bhd reports: the 812 mile cable is the last leg of an optical network linking Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, and is scheduled for completion in August next year.
