Partnership on mobile device management.
Capgemini has linked up with virtualisation firm VMware to deliver an enterprise mobility management service.
VMware will underpin the service with its AirWatch mobile device management platform, while systems integrator Capgemini will provide its mobility consulting, app development and integration products.
AirWatch, which VMware bought in January for $1.5bn, will provide workers with a central console from which they can access all content and applications on any device.
The bundled services will be offered on monthly subscriptions or multi-year contracts.
The co-operation between Capgemini and VMware is an extension of their existing global agreement to work together in the enterprise cloud space.
Fernando Alvarez, senior VP and head of mobile solutions at Capgemini, said: "The end-user computing market is rapidly growing, and enterprise mobility use and concerns around secure content and data management are increasing, as users have access to an ever increasing number of applications and content on their devices.
"The Capgemini Managed Mobility Services offering powered by VMware addresses an important demand from CXOs and digital leaders as mobility moves increasingly higher up in terms of technology priorities."
