Arras Agalarov, director general of Crocus International, says that total turnover during the first half of 1992 exceeded 1,000m roubles – $50,000 at the ruling exchange rate; the Russian-US company organises Comtek, Moscow’s largest annual computer show, and its success is noteworthy given the tough time currently being experienced by other show organisers in Moscow – in August, joint venture ICE, in which Worldexpo is the western partner, closed its exhibitions division following cancellation of the Computerworld Forum show, set for September.
