Expands its serial chip-to-chip communications technology and strengthens its SerDes capabilities
MoSys, a provider of memory and high-speed interface (I/O) intellectual property (IP), has acquired MagnaLynx, a developer of serial chip-to-chip communications technology.
Founded in Ames, Iowa in 2003, MagnaLynx specialises in high-performance, low-power SerDes design services and IP cores for network communications and high performance computing applications.
MoSys said the acquisition expands its serial chip-to-chip communications technology and expertise and strengthens its SerDes capabilities by adding another analog and mixed-signal development team. In addition, MagnaLynx adds low-power SerDes IP technology and expertise to the expanding family of product offerings.
