New video bridge streams high definition video over the Wi-Fi spectrum
Motorola Mobility has introduced VAP2400 wireless video bridge which provides an enhanced viewing experience to the customers of Altibox, a provider of fibre optical communications offerings.
VAP2400 will allow Altibox customers to wirelessly share a full range of video services; taking interactive TV and video on demand to TVs; and other IP-enabled devices across the home.
VAP2400 can be easily installed without the help of an installation engineer so that Altibox customers can benefit from wireless video out of the box.
Altibox Marketing, Sales & Products vice-president Per-Andre Rykhus said Altibox is focused on providing an extensive portfolio of easy to install video services that deliver an enhanced subscriber experience.
"The Motorola VAP2400 will help us to deliver new services and enhancements, including wireless HD interactive TV and Video on Demand, to any room in the home," said Rykhus.
Motorola Mobility Home business EMEA vice president and general manager Steve McCaffery said the Motorola VAP2400 video bridge is the most innovative solution of its kind, and today’s announcement with Altibox demonstrates Motorola’s focus on helping service providers differentiate their services and minimize subscriber churn.
"We’re committed to delivering advanced, game-changing technology that changes the way video services are deployed in the home whilst allowing service providers like Altibox to differentiate themselves in an increasingly competitive market," said McCaffery.
