Application services segment increased to INR8.4bn from INR6.7bn
MphasiS Group, an Indian-based IT company, has reported total revenue of INR12.2bn for the second quarter ended April 30, 2010, an increase of 16.4% compared to INR10.4bn for the same period last year.
The company reported a gross profit INR3.7bn, compared to INR3.4bn of the same period a year ago. Operating profit rose to INR2.74 from INR2.26bn.
For the quarter, the company posted a net profit INR2.67bn, compared to INR2.2bn for the same period a year ago.
Revenue from application services segment increased to INR8.4bn from INR6.7bn, while revenues from ITO services rose to INR2.2bn from INR2.0bn for the same quarter last year. Revenues from BPO services decreased to INR1.6bn from INR1.8bn for the same period last year.
During the quarter, MphasiS acquired Fortify Infrastructure Services, a provider of offshore based Remote IT Operations and Management (ROM) Services expanding their presence in the ROM services market. Effective date of acquisition is 1 May, 2010.
