Following the success that Dell Computer Corp has had with direct sales of Personal Computers, everyone seems to want to get in on the act. The latest to announce their intentions are Japanese manufacturers NEC Corp and Fujitsu, both of which are introducing direct sales and made to order programs for their corporate PC models in November, reports the Nihon Keizai Shimbun. Toshiba Corp is also going to move to direct sales with its notebook PCs in 1998 in Japan, and 1999 in the US, claims the Shimbun.
